I had the great fortune to be in Mrs. Kemp’s 8th grade English class at OTS. She made me love English, and I credit her as one of the handful of folks who led to me majoring in English in college. She made learning a joy. I so looked forward to stepping into her classroom, from our study of Dickens and Nothing Gold Can Stay to her beautifully put together worksheets and such with Victorian images decorating them. I’ll forever proudly be one of her “groovy grammarians” and am humbled to have known her and been shaped by her teaching. Rest easy, beautiful soul. With love, Arianna
