Chris was born on February 11, 1970 in Somerville, NJ to Christopher A. and Bonnie “Carson” Hamler, Sr. Chris graduated from Warren Hills High School class of 1988 and studied at Upsala College in East Orange where he played football. He was employed as a Union Organizer and Education Coordinator for Plumbers Local 24 in West Caldwell, NJ for 27 years, Chris was recently promoted to Business Manager for Local 24 and he was looking forward to starting on July 1. He was involved in a number of civic organizations as a part of his commitment to help those around him. He was a member and past president of the Warren Hills Regional School District. He was a member of the Franklin Township Planning Board. He coached many teams for his son and daughter, including The Blue Devils and Warriors baseball teams and many other Franklin Township teams. He was a founding member of the Jr. Streaks Football. He was a loyal and lifelong Jets and Phillies fan. He could often be heard yelling for, or at, either team. In his spare time he loved most to spend time at the lake in Maine waterskiing and he was especially proud to be the lead singer in the Pulled Pork Band. Above all Chris cherished time spent with his family and friends.
