Obituary of John Vincent McAdams

John (Jack) V. McAdams Jr., 75, of Bolivia, NC and previously of Pittstown, NJ passed away peacefully on September 14, 2019 in Washington, NJ, with loved ones by his side.

Jack was born in New York, NY on December 25, 1943 to the late John V. and Gertrude McAdams.

Jack was a graduate of Montclair High School where he met the love of his life Carolann. Upon graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force stationed at Lackland AFB, Texas and together they had 2 children.

Jack specialized in technology and business continuity for Dunn and Bradstreet in Short Hills, NJ. Jack was also an avid member of the Amateur Radio Club (HAM WA2OLZ) one of his favorite hobbies. Jack also loved to fly and had his private pilot's license, where he would frequently fly his Beechcraft Sundowner (N6363U) out of Alexandria Airport (N85). In his early years Jack was also a member and former President of the Cranford First Aid Squad where he was passionate to continue to serve and help others.

Jack retired to North Carolina where he was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the beach in the Outer Banks, where he enjoyed the ocean and time with his family immensely.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolann, and their children; Beth Myers and her husband Steve, and John V. McAdams III and his wife Mary. John is also survived by his grandchildren; Jacqueline (Thomas), John (Meaghan), Ryan (Leah), Joe (Jessica), Steven (Courtney), Sara (Michael), Brandon (Lauren), Caitlyn, and Emily. He is also survived by his great grandchildren; Brayden, John V, Corey, Juliette, and Rose as well as his siblings; Michael, Scott, Bruce, Helen (Radcliffe), and Gregg.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:30 AM for a Memorial Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ 08867.
