Obituary of Jean Florence Broadhurst

Jean F. Broadhurst, 99, of Broadway, NJ and formerly of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on September 13, 2019 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Easton, PA.

Jean was born on October 31, 1919 at home in Taylor, PA to the late John and Florence Murphy.

Jean was a graduate of Taylor High School class of 1937, Taylor PA. She would go on to meet and marry the love of her life, Donald, who proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. After the passing of Donald in 1973, Jean went to work for M&M Mars in Hackettstown, NJ until retiring in 1984. Jean was a very caring person with a kind heart, and loved playing the piano, and also painting with both oil based and acrylic. Jean also had a special love for cats.

She is survived by her Daughters; Melba Ammon and her husband William, and Noreen Elston and her husband Bruce. Jean is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, and 5 great- great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is predeceased by her son Walter Broadhurst and her grandson Jason. She was also predeceased by her four sisters and one brother.

It is the family's wishes that entombment at Glenwood Mausoleum in Clark Summit, PA be private. 

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jean's name to the Living Word Fellowship Church, 6234 Sullivan Trail, Nazareth, PA 18064.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
