Obituary of William Galeota
William Galeota 57, of Washington passed away suddenly on Sunday October 20 2013 at home.
Born: on January 31, 1956 in Raritan Twp to the late Leo Galeota and Shirley Galeota-Alestra.
Personal: Bill attended North Hunterdon high school class of 1974. He enjoyed going to Indian Guides with his father during his childhood as well as playing the drums and guitar. His mother always said he had the best heart. He lived most of his life in Clinton twp before moving to Phillipsburg and then eventually Washington. Bill was a very talented self employed house painter. When not working or spending time with his family Bill could be found fishing. To his nieces he was always known as "Uncle Dolly," for the many dolls he brought whenever he visited them.
Survivors: His loving son Robert Galeota, at home; two brothers Richard Galeota and his wife Maryellen Alvarez, Michael Galeota and his wife Barbara Gittins-Galeota, two sisters Susan Billera and her husband Richard, Girolama Painter and her husband Jack; four nieces Becca Billera, Annie Painter, Lydia Painter and Sophia Painter; a nephew Matthew Billera.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a step-father Rosario Alestra.
Services: Friends and family may call on Thursday October 24, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 8:30PM
Memorials: Donations can be made in Bill's name to the Pequest Fish Hatchery 605 Pequest Rd, Oxford, NJ 07863 or contributions can be made to the education fund for his son in the care of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
