Obituary of Peter Alex Danysh
Peter Alex Danysh, 63, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2011 at Warren Hospital with his family by his side.
Born: in Somerville, October 5, 1947, he was a son of the late Wasyel and Irene Danysh.
Personal: He was a resident of Washington Twp, NJ, for 35 years, formerly of Manville, NJ.
Peter was a retired Supervisor of track for Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroads, Easton PA. Later he worked as a consultant for Jacobs Engineering. He worked 27 years at Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroads, and 10 years as a consultant for Jacobs Engineering, retiring in 2001. Peter graduated from Manville HS class of 1965. Peter loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed model trains, woodworking, landscaping, motorcycles, and antique cars. Peter was of Greek Orthodox Catholic faith.
Survivors: His loving wife of 47 years Gail "Grecco"; a daughter, Cheryl Tuturice and her husband Joseph of Easton; two sons, Brian Danysh and his wife Heather of TX, Jeffery Danysh and his wife Megan of Burlington, NJ; three sisters, Frances Tucker of VA, Patti Gluch of Hillsborough, NJ, Carol Smythe of Bethlehem, PA; a brother, Paul Danysh of Manville; six grandchildren, Alex, Conor, Bailey, Emily Morgan, Julian, and Trent. A brother, Wasyel Danysh passed in 1996.
Services: Visitation, Friday, February 4, 2011, 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Services, Saturday, February 5, 2011, A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 85 Academy St., Oxford, NJ 07863. Cremation, private.
