Obituary of John E. Courtright
John E. Courtright, 96, of Oxford, NJ John passed away peacefully at Warren Haven Nursing Home November 17, 2012.
Born: October 8, 1916 in Pahaquarry Twp., NJ to the late John and Hilda Courtright.
Personal: John was a lifelong resident of Warren County. John was a farmer most of his life at Hoffman's Farm, Pattenburg, NJ.
After leaving farming, John worked at Washington Wood Craft for 18 years and the Hunterdon State School, retiring in 1980.
John proudly served his Country in the US Army during World War II in India.
He enjoyed woodworking and gardening and going for a ride in the car. Everyone who knew John knew he loved going for a ride in the car and having lunch out. John was a hard worker and loved his family. He treasured every moment spent with them. He will be sadly missed by all.
Memberships: He was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church.
John was a member of the American Legion in Stewartsville, the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW in Oxford.
Survivors: His devoted wife of 68 years Amelia Courtright; a loving daughter, JoAnn DiGilio and her husband, Rudy of Franklin Twp/Washington, NJ; grandchildren, Paul DiGilio, Christopher DiGilio and Maria DiGilio; a niece, Irma Sosonovik of Cooperstown NY; and a nephew, Lloyd Foss of Bloomsbury NJ.
In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by four sisters, Augusta Foss, Selma Courtright, Mildred Courtright and Ruth Jean.

At the family's request, burial will be private.
