Obituary of Elsa Fowler
Elsa B. Fowler, 90, of Lexington, NC, died peacefully Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at home.
Born: On October 3, 1917, in Montville, NJ she was a daughter of the late Otto and Lina Boehme.
Personal: Elsa's husband, Kenneth, passed away on March 7, 2008. They were married for 67 years. She lived in Lebanon Township in Hunterdon County, NJ, prior to moving to Lexington in 2004.
She graduated from Belvidere High School Class of 1935. She was employed at Lebanon Township Elementary School as a cafeteria manager for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and crafts and was also known to send family and friends cards on all occasions.
Survivors: Elsa is survived by a daughter, Donna Ferguson and her husband, Nelson of York, Pa; a son, Robert J. and his wife, Barbara of Lexington; four grandchildren, Lisa, Jeffrey, Robert J., and Matthew, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, a brother, John Boehme, and two sisters, Charlotte Rudolph and Hilda Fowler, died earlier.
Services: Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services for Elsa and a memorial service for her husband, Kenneth, will be held jointly on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Montana Mountain Cemetery, Harmony, NJ. They will be laid to rest together as their wish was to not only spend their entire lives together, but all of eternity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
