Obituary of Virginia C. Winter
Virginia C. Winter, 66, of Hampton, NJ, died peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2007 at Warren Hospital with her family by her side.
Born: On February 13, 1941 in Newton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Marjorie DeVoe Creager.
Personal: Virginia and her husband Warren were married for 42 years. A former resident of Hackettstown, NJ, Virginia graduated from Hackettstown High School, Class of 1959 and went on to earn a degree in nursing from Chestnut Hill School of Nursing in Philadelphia. She was head nurse at Hagedorn Psychiatric Hospital, Glen Gardner, NJ for 23 years, retiring in 2000. Virginia was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed going to flea markets and sewing.
Memberships: She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5119, Glen Gardner, NJ.
Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Warren, she is survived by two daughters, Beth Brong and her husband Scott of Palmerton, Pa and Amy Price and her husband Steve of Nazareth, Pa; a brother, Paul Creager of California, and three grandchildren, Emily, Erik and Zachary. A brother, Malcom "Skip" Creager, died earlier.
Services: A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Scovell officiating at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Cremation will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. To send an online condolence, please visit .
