Obituary of William G. Walker
William G. Walker 68, of Washington Twp passed away peacefully on April 17, 2013 at home surrounded by his family.
Born: on October 2, 1944 in Rahway, NJ to the late William and Genevieve Walker Sr.
Personal: Bill graduated from Perth Amboy Vocational school class of 1963. He served proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Bill worked as a Plant Specialist Engineer for the past 38 years with Bell Labs and later with Lucent retiring in 2010. Bill and his wife Anne moved to Washington in 1985. He was formally of Metuchen and Woodbridge. He was an Avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed reading technical magazines and collecting miniature antique cars and trucks.
Memberships: Bill was a member of the CWA and Telephone Pioneers of America. Survivors: His devoted wife of 47 years Anne; a son Sgt William G. Walker III of the United States Army. three brothers Kenneth Walker, Richard Walker and Daniel Walker; a sister in-law Mary Ellen Burke and her life companion William Whitten; Cousins Lois Walker, Elizabeth Patson, Calvin Walker, Barbara and Ray Nuzzo and many nieces and nephews.Bill was preceded in life by two brothers John and Captain Larry Walker.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday October 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Friends and family may call from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
