Obituary of Ralph Tramaglini
Ralph R. Tramaglini, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, November 12, 2010 at his daughter's home with his family by his side.
Born: August 16, 1927 in Newark, NJ he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Elisa Tramaglini.
Personal: Ralph's loving wife of 57 years, Frances, passed away in 2007.
Ralph was a retired Newark Police Officer; he retired in 1984 after serving 30 years with the Newark Police Department. He served proudly in the Army and in the Coast Guard as a Merchant Marine during World War II.
His many hobbies included gardening, woodworking and traveling; he enjoyed working with his hands.
He most recently lived in Washington Township, but previously had lived in Belleville, Newark and Lakewood, NJ.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, Port Murray; he was a life member of the Newark FOP Lodge 12; he was an active member in numerous groups at Leisure Village, Lakewood.
Survivors: Two sons, Richard Tramaglini and his wife Susan of Long Valley, and Joseph Tramaglini and his wife Vickie of Stanhope; a daughter Rita Riotto and her husband Michael of Washington Township, NJ; a brother Peter Albano and his wife Dora of Lavallette, NJ; seven grandchildren, Tara and her husband Hal, Jared, Michael and his wife Amy, Gabrielle and Jaclynn; and two great-grandsons, Anthony and Keith.
In addition to his wife Frances, he was predeceased by three sisters, Anna Marino, Marie Cybulski and Carolina Tedesco; and a brother Anthony Tramaglini.
Services: Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave. , Washington , NJ 07882 . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 17 in St. Theodore Catholic Church, 855 Rte. 57, Port Murray, NJ 07865 with Fr. Zenek officiating. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave. , Washington , NJ .
