Obituary of Anna N. Smith
Anna N. Smith, 99, died Monday, September 18, 2006 in Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township.
Born: On July 20, 1907 in North Fork, Minn., she was a daughter of the late Jene and Christine Nelson.
|Personal: Her husband, Rolland, died in 1974. Anan lived in Washington and Butler Park before moving to Warren Haven seven years ago. She was employed as superintendent of the laundry department at Mt. Kip Glen Gardner. Anna was the first female state employee to be promoted to superintendent.
Memberships: Anna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington where she played the organ and accordion. She was also a member of the choir. She loved music.
Survivors: She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Services: Visitation will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Noll officiating at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NJ.
