Obituary of Deborah A. Baran
Deborah A. DeGroff Baran, 46, of Ewing, NJ, lost her courageous battle with cancer at home with her family by her side on Friday, August 31, 2007.
Born: On May 1, 1961 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of Wayne and Velma DeGroff of Port Murray, NJ.
Personal: She had previously resided in West Amwell and Port Murray before moving to Ewing four years ago. Deborah was employed as a letter carrier with the U.S. Post Office in Ewing for 13 years. She graduated from Warren Hills High School, Class of 1979, where she was a 1st chair-1st seat trumpet player. Deborah was an avid bowler. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Memberships: She previously had attended the Mansfield Baptist Church. Survivors: In addition to her parents, Wayne and Velma, she is survived by a son, Alexander; two sisters, Terry Aschoff of Bend, Ore. and Kelly DeGroff of Bangor, Pa; two brothers, Wayne of Washington, NJ and Jeffrey of Easton, Pa; maternal grandmother, Margaret Schuler of Washington; many nieces and nephews, and dearly beloved friends. Services: Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Duryea officiating. Burial will be in Port Murray Cemetery, Port Murray, NJ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, Washington, NJ.
