Obituary of Frank C. Eckhardt
Frank C. Eckhardt Jr., 86, of Washington Township, N.J., died Sunday, March 14, 2004, in Warren Hospital.
Born: December 2, 1917, in Bloomfield, N.J., a son of the late Frank Eckhardt Sr. and Anna Hopping.
Personal: He and his loving wife, Dorothy, were married 63 years.He was an operating engineer for Mountain View Correctional Facility in Annandale, retiring in 1992.
Frank served with the 1st Marine Division during the Korean War.He was an avid outdoorsman and also enjoyed traveling.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors: his wife; three daughters, Joyce Eckhardt of Texas, Valerie McNally and Wendy Miller, both of Washington; five sons, Barry of N.C., Randy of Calif., Kenneth and Bruce, both of N.Y. and Douglas of Washington Township; a sister, Elsie Totten and a twin brother, John, both of Nev.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in Port Colden United Methodist Church, Port Colden, N.J., with the Rev. Joan Palmer officiating.
