Obituary of Elizabeth B. Bordner
Elizabeth B. Bordner, 91, of the Karrsville section of Mansfield Township, NJ, died peacefully Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Phillipsburg Nursing Home.
Born: June 5, 1916 in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the only daughter of the late Michael and Bomella Budrecki.
Personal: A lifelong resident of Mansfield Township, Elizabeth was a secretary for the CEO of Merck Pharmaceutical Co., where she met and married her husband, Bill Bordner, a chemist. She also worked as a secretary for Brant Movie Co. and the Electrolux store, both in Washington. Elizabeth attended college for two years before leaving to become a secretary. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed the social companionship of many friends.
Memberships: She attended St. Theodore Catholic Church in Mansfield, and attended Warren County Nutrition Center for 25 years.
Survivors: A devoted daughter, Barbara Bordner O'Mara and two loving grandsons, Michael and Jonathan, all of Hackettstown with whom Elizabeth resided for the last eight years; three faithful nieces, Donna Verde in Texas, Gay Zizes and Annie Budrecki, both in New York City; and a faithful nephew Donald Bordner and his wife Nancy in Florida. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill, and three brothers, James, Dominic and Kasmir Budrecki.
Services: Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Theodore Catholic Church, 855 Route 57, Port Murray, with Fr. Anthony Sirianni officiating. Burial will be in the Port Murray Cemetery.
