Obituary of William Nagy

William Nagy, 93, of Washington, N.J., died Friday, September 8, 2006, in Good Shepard Nursing Home, Hackettstown, N.J. Born: December 1, 1912 in New Brunswick, N.J., he was a son of the late Charles and Rose Nagy. Personal: He had lived in Washington, N.J. for seven years. Prior to that, he lived in Franklin Park, N.J. Bill held many different positions in various departments at Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick, N.J., where he was employed for 46 years until his retirement in 1977. Bill was very devoted to family life and started to work at a very young age to help support his family. He continued to work hard, and did so his entire life. He and his loving wife, Elizabeth, were married for 69 years. Memberships: Bill was a member of High Street Baptist Church in New Brunswick, N.J., where he served as a deacon and an elder. Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Leroy W., and his wife, Beverly, of Effort, Pa., and Gary, and his wife, Diane, of Washington, N.J.; a brother, Joseph, of Plainfield, N.J.; eight grandchildren, and 25 great grand children. Three brothers, Frank, Charles, and John, all died earlier. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Warren Hills / Ford Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, N.J. The Reverend Bill Noell will officiate. Call from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, Washington, N.J.
