Obituary of Lois J. Latteman
Lois M. Latteman, 86, of Rowley, Mass., died Thursday, June 23, 2005, in her daughter's home.
Born: August 1, 1918, in Blairstown, a daughter of the late Jasper and Mabel Smart Jacobus.
Personal: Her husband, William, died earlier.
She had lived in Washington for 43 years, and lived in Phillipsburg and Denville, N.J. before moving to Washington.She was a graduate of Blairstown High School and Beaver College in Glenside, Pa. She worked as head dietician of Philadelphia Hospital during World War
II, and was also a home economics teacher for 27 years at Warren Hills Regional High School, retiring in 1979.
Memberships: She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Washington. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star in both Blairstown and Washington.
Survivors: a daughter, Elaine and her husband, Ron Marcorelle, of Rowley, Mass; a brother, Jasper D. Jacobus Jr. of Fla.; a brother-in-law, Charles Latteman of Mo.; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Beegle of Blairstown.
Services: Order of the Eastern Star services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church, 40 East Church St., Washington. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church, with Pastor James Scovell officiating. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere.
