Obituary of Constance Little
Constance "Connie" Little, 93, of Livingston, N.J., passed away Jan. 16, 2013, in Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Visitation is on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington, Ave., Washington, N.J. 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Blaise Baran officiating, will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, N.J. 07882. Burial is in Stanhope Union Cemetery, Stanhope, N.J. Born in Newark, N.J., on Oct. 27, 1919, Connie resided in Orange, N.J., before moving to Livingston 60 years ago. She was a 1937 graduate of Orange High School and a 1938 beauty culture graduate of Essex County Vo-Tech. A beautician, Connie owned and operated Connie's Beauty Shop in Orange prior to raising her family. She then worked part time at Alberto's and Headline Hair Studios before retiring in 1983. Connie was a devout Catholic. She was happiest being with her family. She bowled most of her life and also enjoyed Wildwood summers, the Livingston pool, knitting and socializing. Connie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Raymond F. Little, in 2008, and her parents, Carl and Jenny Valentino. She is survived by two daughters, Denise Jackson and her husband, Dick, and Debbie Ryan and her husband, Dennis; two sisters, Margaret Hamway and Anita Agamie; grandchildren, Daniel, Jason Victor and wife, Hilary, Lt. Megan, and Patrick Ryan and wife, Jaclyn, and great-granchildren, Benjamin and Jacob Victor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Livingston First Aid Squad.
