Obituary of Ernest W Posik

Ernest W. Posik, 79, of Easton, PA and previously of Port Reading, NJ passed away on August 4, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA. Ernest was born on December 23, 1944 in Port Reading, NJ to the late Joseph and Margaret Posik (nee. Toth). He attended NJIT, where he received his undergraduate degree, before receiving his master's degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Ernest worked as an industrial engineer for many companies throughout the years, including his longest stint at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut, until his retirement in 2014. Ernest enjoyed assembling and flying model airplanes in his spare time and loved to sit back and enjoy watching the birds eating from his numerous bird feeders. He was an avid sports fan and could always be found watching his beloved Chicago Bears on the weekends. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra and their children; Kelly Paprcka and her husband John, Susan Loseby and her husband Philip and Dale Kaphan and her husband Robert. Ernest is also survived by his grandchildren; Josiah, Dang Xue, Gabriel, Noah, Quyen Loseby, Jacob, Graceyn Paprcka and Nathanael Kaphan. He also leaves behind his sisters in law, Barbara Outcalt and her husband Joseph, Cheryl Rosas and her husband David and brother-in-law, Robert Smith and Laverne, and many cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ernest is predeceased by his brother, Robert and his wife Mildred, brother, William and his wife Roberta and a brother in law, Kenneth Smith. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service celebrating Ernest's life will be held at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy, NJ at 1:00 PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
