Obituary of Patricia E Carlson
Patricia E. Carlson, 65, of Washington, NJ and previously of Union and Bedminster, NJ passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2024 at home.
Patricia was born on June 20, 1959 in Allentown, PA to Clarence Broadbent and the late Margaret Metzgar.
Patti, as everyone knows her, currently worked as a sales associate for Boscov's Department Store in Easton, PA. Previously, she had found a passion working at an elementary school her children attended and then as a teacher's assistant for a nursery school. She also enjoyed shopping and going out to restaurants. No matter where she was driving, she enjoyed taking the scenic route. Patti also enjoyed watching classic movies and TV shows, as well.
Everyone who knew Patti knew that she loved to laugh. Whether at the grocery store or the hair salon, she had the ability to become friends with everyone she met. She was very proud and happy to see her children grown up and having happy marriages and living a good happy life. Her level of faith in Jesus and her attitude of trying to bring joy and love to everyone around her was rare. She touched so many lives and helped so many people that were lost and broken. Her spirit will live on through so many people.
She is survived by her father, Clarence Broadbent; children, Katie Carlson (husband Mario) and Matthew Carlson (wife Brittney); grandchildren, Maya and Anthony. Patti also leaves behind her brother, James Broadbent, sisters; Debra Hertensteiner and KC Troxell; nephew Ryan Broadbent. Patricia will be forever missed by her cherished cat, Jasmine.
Patti is predeceased by her stepmother, Elizabeth Broadbent.
