Obituary of Harold S Radcliff Sr.
Harold S. Radcliff Sr., 80, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024 at St Luke's Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ.
Harold was born on February 25, 1944 in Easton, PA to the late Robert and Ruth "Civetts" Radcliff. He was employed as the Service Manager for Opdyke's Sales & Service in Washington, NJ for more than 35 years until his retirement in 2023. Before moving to Forks Township in 2022 he previously resided in Washington and Glen Gardner, NJ. Harold was a 35 year member and past Chief of the Washington Borough Fire Department. He was a member of New Jersey State Exempt Firemen's Association, Warren County NJ Fire Chiefs' Association and a Life Member of Avona Fire Department. Harold was also a member of WASHOX, a combined Washington and Oxford Fire Department charity that helped the needy. Harold was a huge NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. He also enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel and the Christmas specials on television.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Sharon Radcliff; his children, Harold S. Radcliff Jr. (Melinda), Bridget Radcliff (David Resh) and Shannon Hughes; 4 grandchildren, Ellen Murphy, Kaylan Radcliff, Courtney Antoniello and Rebecca Sidoti; 2 great grandchildren, Ansley and Lainey and his favorite grand-dog Reese. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his sons Wayne and Michael Radcliff. A brother, Robert Radcliff and sisters, Betty Saddington and Ann Ahart.
Family and friend may pay their respects on Friday July 5, 2024 from 5-7:30 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Funeral service celebrating Harold's life and Firemen's services will begin at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Harold's name to the Washington Borough Fire Department. 100 Belvidere Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
