Obituary of Barbara M Macher

Barbara M. Macher, 77, of Califon, NJ passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 25, 2024. Barbara was born on January 9, 1947 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Frederick and Dorothy "Bushing" Hickey. She graduated from North Hunterdon High School in the Class of 1965. Barbara was retired from Lipton in Flemington, where she worked in the accounting department for over 30 years. In her retirement she loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, cheering them on from the sidelines. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed helping her daughter in charitable endeavors. She volunteered with her as a cook for Lasagna Love, a charitable organization that provides lasagna for those in need. She also worked with her to craft crochet blankets for Warm Up America and Project Linus. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Christine Buckner; a sister, Carol Hickey; grandchildren, Kyle D. Chiravalle and Bryan C. Chiravalle. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Hickey and Patricia Wydner. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Project Linus or Lasagna Love. A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
