Obituary of John G Grabenbauer

John G. Grabenbauer, 93, of Washington, NJ passed away on November 30, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA. John was born on May 24, 1930 in NY, NY to the late John and Rose Vogel Grabenbauer. John served in the United States Army during the Korean War. When he returned home, he worked as a photo finisher for Wallich's Camera Shop in Newark, NJ and Staten Island, NY, where he was a part of the Teamsters Local 966. John married the love of his life Ruth Kekahuna in 1953 and they built an amazing life together. They would go on frequent vacations to Hawaii to visit Ruth's family and also enjoyed the Jersey Shore, especially Long Beach Island and Brigantine, NJ. John enjoyed spending his Wednesday nights bowling at Oakwood Lanes in Washington, NJ and was a proud member of the American Legion. Family was the most important thing to John and he will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ruth and their daughters; Jann Gill and Lisa Dove and her husband Stephen. John also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Danielle Gill, Jennifer Gill (Shane), John Gill (Brittany), Stephen Dove (Megan), Thomas Dove (Saylor) and Katie Dove (Doug Trimble) and 9 great grandchildren.
