I am so sorry to have just heard of Sherry's passing. She was always a vibrant, positive, and uplifting presence in the school district. It was my honor to work with her and know her. May she rest in peace in Heaven. Life has not ended, but changed.

I'm a high school senior who was honored to have Mrs. Sherry Anderson be my 7th grade Language Arts teacher. When I entered 7th grade, that was the year I transferred from private to public school; and I can 100% with my whole heart say that Mrs. Anderson was the most welcoming and kind teacher during that transition period.

My heart is broken. I have known Sherry for 45 years and we spoke often. She was a true example of someone that never gave up and was so positive and hopeful for the future. It was “never why me” it was this is my life. She is a true inspiration for all; enjoy every day, as she did, even though she faced battle after battle. Family and friends were so important to her. My true condolences to the Anderson and Hoyer families; she was the “rock”. We will all miss her but have been so blessed to have had this wonderful person in our lives. Miss you!

In addition to being a fabulous teacher, colleague and friend, Sherry was one of the strongest people I have ever known and her continual positivity in any situation was always an inspiration to me. I hope that I can continue to look through the lens that Sherry did in order to appreciate every day and not take anything for granted. I will miss our conversations. This world is a little less bright without her in it. She will be missed.

I didn't know Sherry very well, but I always heard wonderful things about her. She seemed like a beautiful person in and out. I am glad my sister Linda Marty had the opportunity of meeting her through Carl. She loved Sherry and everything about her. A loving soul indeed.
May Sherry rest in God's hands, as well as dance with the angels in His Kingdom.
Love and prayers to Sherry's families. Elaine Choiniere.

Aunt Sherry was always the brightest light in the room - she was a ray of happiness. Not only was she so joyful to be around in person, but she was the most thoughtful aunt someone could wish for. Even prior to officially joining the Scharen family, Aunt Sherry would send the most thoughtful cards on holidays and my birthday - she really knew how to make someone feel special and apart of the family. She will be missed greatly!
