Obituary of Cori Gruter-Curham

Cori Gruter-Curham, 35, of Washington Township, NJ went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Cori was born on March 11, 1988 in Denville, NJ to David Curham and Donna Gruter. Cori attended Warren Hills High School. After graduation she worked at Abilities then at the Warren Arc's Day Program. A specialized program that includes art, music therapy and socialization, all the things Cori loved. She was a proud member of the Go Getters. Cori attended the Port Colden United Methodist Church. Cori proved every day of her life that real happiness, and true joy is only experienced, not "talked about". Cori appreciated a good meal/good food, dancing wild for herself, laughter, sunshine and the color yellow. Cori loved her family with her entire existence. She was a proud sister. Everyone that knew Cori knew she was kind, sweet and loving. Cori's true close friends also knew she was sarcastic, funny and could vent about all that annoyed her- loving a good curse word to do it by. Cori also enjoyed riding horses. Writing words seems silly to describe Cori and her life. Close your eyes and remember her smile. Hear the sound of her laughter. That's Cori that is who she was and will always be.
