Obituary of Meg Byerlee

Meg Byerlee, 81, of Phillipsburg, NJ and previously of Flemington, NJ passed away on July 4, 2023 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Meg was born on June 14, 1942 in Plainfield, NJ to the late John and Margaret Dougherty. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1960, and from Kean University in 1964. She also studied audiology at Tulane University. She worked as a coordinator at Hunterdon Medical Center for many years, as well as at Jansen Pharmaceuticals. Meg also was a realtor at Weidel, and served as the president of the PTA for Franklin Twp. School District. She enjoyed reading, antiquing, gardening and family-time. Meg was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and saw many well-known Celtic performances throughout the years. Meg is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ronald and their daughter, Dana Byerlee. She is preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service celebrating Meg's life will take place at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ.
