Obituary of Richard L Sendell Jr

Richard Leroy Sendell Jr., 80, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital. Richard was born on November 29, 1942 in the Bronx, NY to the late Richard L. and Dolores "Christianson" Sendell Sr. He graduated from Westfield High school class of 1960. He also graduated and earned a degree from the Military Institute in North Carolina. Richard owned and operated Sendell Realty in Washington, NJ for many years. His loving wife Marilyn "Metzinger" Sendell passed away in 2016. He was a member of the Power Squadron and Knights of Columbus and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Richard enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his children, Lauren Schlaffer and Richard L Sendell III and his wife Julia; a son in-law, Carlos Schlaffer and 6 grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Sendell. A graveside service celebrating Richard's life will be held on Thursday June 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery. 2320 Locust Gap Highway. Mount Carmel, PA 17851.
