Obituary of Evelyn M. Peters

Evelyn M. Peters, 90 formerly of Asbury, NJ passed away peacefully on January 20, 2023 at Palm Garden Rehabilitation Center in Clearwater, FL. Evelyn was born on February 9, 1932 in Hampton, NJ to the late Jesse and Mary “Force” Smith. She attended Washington High School and was a homemaker. Her loving husband Richard Peters passed away in 1997. She was a longtime member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Evelyn was also a past member of the Asbury Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Breslin and her husband Thomas, Susan Wiley and her husband John and Nancy O’Connor and her husband Greg; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Richard, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothea Timberlake and Helen Kinney. A graveside service will be held privately at Asbury Methodist Cemetery.
