Obituary of Kenneth G O'Brien

Kenneth G. O'Brien, 85, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2022 at Heath Village Nursing Home with his loving family by his side. Kenneth was born on January 10, 1937 in Roseland, NJ to the late James and Kathryn O'Brien. Kenneth was a graduate of St. Aloysius Catholic High School in Coldwell, NJ. He was employed as an auto mechanic prior to his retirement. Kenneth was volunteer Fireman in Lake Parsippany for many years. He enjoyed playing golf and Bocci Ball. Kenneth was an avid sports fan, always routing for the NY Jets and Mets. He was a huge NASCAR fan, Dale Earnhardt always being his favorite driver. He loved the outdoors and being in the sunshine. Above all he enjoyed fishing with his grandson. He will be greatly missed. Kenneth is survived by his loving daughters; Colleen O'Brien, Cheryl Fortenbacker and Gail Suruda and her husband John. 5 grandchildren; Katlyn, Meghan and Melissa Fortenbacker and Emily and Kyle Suruda. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn O'Brien In abiding with Kenneth's wishes, all services will be held privately.
