Obituary of Darlene J Smolenski

Darlene Smolenski, 79 of Oxford NJ. Passed away at home peacefully at home on Monday, September 5th 2022.Born on May7th 1943 in Hazen NJ, she was the daughter of late Ava Dilts. She survived by husband Chester Smolenski of 53 years, son David Williams, 2 step daughters Gerrilyn, Sharon, 3 grandchildren Justin, Corey and Chrissy, 7 great grandchildren,12 step grandchildren, 5 sisters Gloria, Rose, Rhoda, Roxanna, and Dawn, 5 brothers Richard, Robert, Warren, Jack and Barry, 24 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Williams and a step daughter Valerie. Darlene retired from the Arc of Warren County after 29 years, where she started the arts & crafts for social club. Darlene was a member of the 4-H club for many years, enjoyed working on ceramics and most of all she loved spending time with her family and loved ones. Darlene was loved and adored by many. Darlene's loved for animals was deep. She could always be found with her pup on her lap. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday September 10, 2022 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W Washington Ave Washington, NJ 07882. A Funeral Service celebrating in Darlene's life will begin at 11:30AM at the funeral home with Pastor Catherine Jordan-Latham officiating. Burial at Hazen Cemetery with be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Darlene's name may be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 Lyon's St. PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
