Obituary of Raymond A Maxwell

Raymond M. Maxwell, 69, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022 at the Lopatcong Care Center with his loving wife Theresa by his side. Raymond was born on June 22, 1952 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Raymond J. and Lola Mary "Herrick" Maxwell. Ray grew up in Paterson, NJ before moving back to Washington to raise his family. Ray was a proud US Army veteran. He was an over the road trucker who enjoyed the freedoms of traveling the country. He was also an avid NY Giants fan. When Raymond was not driving across the country, he loved being a husband, father, and grandfather. Raymond is survived by his wife of 29 years Theresa "Peters" Maxwell; sons, James E. Maxwell, Daniel W. Maxwell, Matthew S. Maxwell, Matthew A. Dunlap and his wife Lauren and Ian C. Dunlap and his wife Chelsea; a sister, Nancy L. Maxwell; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Dunlap, Ruby Dunlap and Ben Hill; sister in-laws, Laura Lee Evans and Jennifer Szymanski; brother In-law, William Szymanski, an aunt, Theresa Herrick and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
