Dear God,
We come before you with a heavy heart. We know that you have heard our prayers for our lost friend, who was taken too soon. We ask that you help us find peace, and that you give us strength to carry on without her.
We pray for her family, who are hurting and missing her every day. She loved them so much, and we pray that they will be able to find comfort in their memories of her.
May her memory be eternal

Although I did not know Karen that long, the time I did get to spend and get to know her were memorable. I previously worked at the Belvidere Diner/ Flavorz, Everyday you would walk in and she would just have the biggest smile on her face, not only that she could spark up any conversation with anyone, she was truly loved by both friends and family. I remember all the times we would just laugh with everyone in the back because someone would either make a mistake, or do something funny, and the time we spent getting to know the small details about each other. I would also like to personally thank her for being someone I could talk anything about at any time. My condolences to all family and friends, may her soul rest in peace <3

So very sorry for your loss sweet and kind just scratch the surface of adjectives to describe her. My favorite memory of her is at my parent's front door bringing food and smiling. She was a ray of sunshine in some very sad and trying days. ❤

I’ll miss Karen very much. I’ve known the Protopapas for so long and it’s hard realizing what happened. But Karen was always a cheerful, kind hearted person. She always knew how to make someone laugh and smile. I would always talk to her and we would talk for hours. she always made me feel like I was apart of the family. But the Protopapas family will be always thought of in the Daubert family.

So sad to hear of Karen’s death. My experiences with Karen were always cheerful and we loved it when she’d slide into the booth with us and chat. Lovely woman, always kind. When I did see her children at the diner, she was very proud of them,
and laughed at their antics. She was a darling, hard working woman in our eyes. Annie & Carol

I naturally saw Karen a lot at the diner. But also, of all the folks I know around town, I’d always run into her countless times at ShopRite, Hobby Lobby, Quickchek, even the voting booth! A tireless woman, always working towards supporting her family and her business, and always with a smile that lit up her face. RIP Karen….

I will miss the great long conversations that Karen and I would have. If I could say something to her now I would say thank you for always having Lilly over at your house. Thank you for caring for Lilly like one of your own. I would say thank you for the olive oil from Greece it was delicious. I would say thank you for having us over for New Year’s Eve, and 4th of July and pool parties etc. I would say thank for taking Lilly to see tapeface with the girls. I would say thank you for giving Oscar a job when we needed him to have a job for Certain reasons that only you knew why. I would say thank you for being my friend! I will miss you. My condolences to you Mike and the girls and Mack.
