Obituary of Frances M Kochis- Wadnik
Frances Kochis Wadnik passed away on February 5, 2022. Frances was born in Port Murray, NJ on March 5, 1924, the youngest of six children. She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Antonina Giunta. Frances was married to John Kochis for 42 years, until his death. She was married to William Wadnik for 9 years.
Frances was employed as a sewing machine operator for several years, and worked as a secretary at the local radio station and various other offices in the Washington area.
She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking, and was known for her kiffles and cherry pies.
Frances was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Washington, where she was a member of the choir for several years. She was also a member of the Pohatcong VFW Post 6701 Auxiliary.
Frances is survived by her daughters, Nena Hayden of Cooperburg, PA, Lorraine Kochis of Washington, NJ, Susan Hamilton and her husband James of Oil City, PA and Joyce Kochis of Easton, PA. Four grandchildren, Stephen Galgocy and wife Regina LaCaruba, Andrea Galgocy and fiance Kyle Bartle, Miranda Danko and Adam Mardak and eight great-grandchildren, Kyla, Amelia, Julian, Isabelle, Felicity, Olivia, Scarlett and Henry.
Frances was predeceased by her first husband John, her second husband, William, her son John and her step-daughter, Jean.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph' s Roman Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Washington, NJ.
