Obituary of Diana J Smith

Diana J Smith, 79, of Bridgewater, NJ passed away peacefully at Runnels Center on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Diana was born on December 14, 1942, in Martins Creek, PA to the late Nicholas and Rose (Plebani) DeCesare. She was married to Richard Edward Smith and celebrated 58 years of marriage together. The couple met at a dance class where Richard asked Diana to be her partner and then they were partners ever since. Diana and Richard went on to have 2 children, Edward and Mary. Diana was a homemaker and took care of her family. She thoroughly enjoyed music and loved playing the piano. When she heard a beautiful song, she couldn't help but dance. She loved artists like Engelbert Humperdinck, Liberace, and Elvis. She especially loved her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Diana was predeceased by her brother Daniel DeCesare. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Smith, her children, Edward Smith and his wife, Susan, of Williams Township, PA, and Mary Louise Smith and her husband, Scott, of Washington, NJ. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Daisy Triantafelow, Sabrina Smith, Holly Fox, Lloyd Vliet, Vivian Keinath, and Olivia Vliet, and one great-grandson Jayson. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
