Helmut aka Unc will be missed. I enjoyed our many conversations over the years at our family parties. He was always so kind and interested in how I was doing, asking questions about how school was going, and what our kiddos or if my parents were “behaving.” I enjoyed talking football and sports with him and every time we got together he always wanted to know my superbowl pick. His pick always seemed to be the Cowboys. He was always ready with witty story or some words of wisdom and who could forget his most famous phrase, “It is what it is.” He was humble and helpful, funny and kind, and worked on numerous masterful plumbing jobs around our house lending a hand when we first moved in. He will be missed greatly by our family. We were lucky to have Helmet in our lives for all these years.
