Obituary of Joseph C Hickey

Joseph C. Hickey of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on August 14, 2021. Joseph was born in Scranton, PA on March 9, 1923. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School class of 1941 and would later receive his associate's degree from Rutgers University. Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as a construction manager for American Cyanamid until his retirement. Joe continued his career as club manager at Copper Hill Country Club, Flemington, NJ. Joseph was active in the American Cancer Society and a member of the Belvidere American Legion. He enjoyed playing golf, especially with the Brookfield Group each Thursday. He and his wife Vivian enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Venice, FL. Most of all, Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family. Joseph is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vivian, and his stepchildren; John Fedo and wife Kathy, Linda Fedo, Richard Fedo, and Lori Donnelly and husband Chris, his grandchildren; Sean, Hannah, Peter, Brittany, and Michael, as well as great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers; Thomas Hickey and Gerard Jacquinot, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Joseph is preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Hickey, his mother Mary Hickey and siblings Carl Sullivan and Alice Hickey. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
