So many memories of this wonderful man. He was my history teacher at Harmony & coach at BHS. The best... Him talking, walking away, & returning and pick up where he left off. Then later, sharing a drink @ musikfest in Bethlehem. Still felt like that grade schooler & shouldn't be doing drinking. His voice, his laugh, & his smile...yes, he smiled. He was a Very caring man. He will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to the Bodine family. ♥️

I was one of the lucky kids of Harmony to have been taught by Mr. Bodine.
I treasure the memories of 7th and 8th grade in the late 70's with him as
a teacher, mentor, and friend. He was a stand out, one who genuinely cared
for his students.
Sending my condolences to his family, friends, and all who loved him for comfort
in the days ahead without his presence.
May he rest in peace.

He had the roar of a lion and the heart of a teddy bear. I can still hear his laugh. I’ll never forget when he found his pipe, in a train at Strasbug Rairoad, that he had lost there the year before. I am so blessed to have been influenced by him in the classroom, on the court and on the field. RIP Mr. Bodine. And thank you.

Mr. Bodine was my history teacher in 1984/85 and my basketball and softball team coach for all four years of high school 1990-94. I remember him like it was yesterday. He was a great mentor to me as a coach. A wonderful man. I’m not surprised to learn of all of his lifelong accomplishments.

Sad news in a week of sad news. I have such great memories of Mr.Bodine. The best were the countless days riding around in his car, photographing and making note of the history and geography of Warren County for huge interactive 3D map that our class made. There are also the memories of him napping at his desk, stolen Mad magazine in his hand and his pipe in his mouth. We lost another great man, RIP GBNF

Bill Bodine was one of a kind when it came to education and human ity. I recall playing on his first basketball team at Harmony when we practiced outside and played all away games because we had no gym in those days. He showed us what it meant to be tough and stick, to something and use teamwork to accomplish goals. I was fortunate to have a different relationship with him as awe played poker together many times in past years when Friday nights brought my family and he together with a few others to try our luck at low stakes cards. He used to joke that he hoped he won or else his class would not get lunch the following week. He would ask before a game what I needed this week as if to say that was an indication of how much he might lose. But he was a good poker player as well as a good coach, teacher and terrific human being. Mr. Bodine showed us all what it meant to live a life in service to others and his many lessons will survive for many years to come through all who knew him. I am a better person for having known him. My sincere condolences to the family. He leaves a giant legacy behind as an examplke we can fol, low. Rest east sir.

My deepest sympathy to Bill's family. My late husband, Hippy coached girls softball with Bill at Belvidere High School. They spent many hours working together to mentor the team. I am sure that they are once again talking coaching strategies!! May your memories of a great guy become your treasures.
