Obituary of Rose Horwatt

Rose Horwatt, 81, a resident of the Paragon Village section of Hackettstown, NJ for the last three years, passed away peacefully at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover, NJ, on Friday, April 18, 2008. Born: On August 14, 1926, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Rose Syroid. Personal: Her loving husband, Leonard, died in 1976. Rose was employed for 16 years as an electronics tech at and was a solderer and inspector with Ethicon in Somerville, Criticon in Raritan, retiring from Siemens in Somerset, NJ. Memberships: She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bound Brook, NJ. Survivors: She is survived by two daughters, Linda Shortall and her husband Thomas R. of Cecil, Pa and Terry Ehlers and her husband Ed of Hampton, NJ; two sisters, Irean Finley and Dolly Zukosky, both of Wilkes-Barre, Pa, and four grandchildren, Amy, Lisa, Amber and Thomas. Services: Visitation will be Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the church, 201 Vosseller Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ 08805. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ.
