Obituary of Richard M Titus
Richard "Dick" Titus, 85, a lifelong resident of Belvidere, NJ passed away on March 16, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Dick was born in the family home in Belvidere on December 5, 1935 to the late Theodore and Martha "Barker" Titus. Richard attended Belvidere High School. Dick served proudly in the US Army for two years during the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany. He was employed as a truck driver for more than 45 years before his retirement in 2000 from Zuk Demolition in Bethlehem, PA. Richard and his loving wife Patricia "Dalrymple" would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this coming September. Dick was a member of VFW Post 6701 Pohatcong Memorial Post, Washington, NJ., Belvidere American Legion Post 131. He was a past member and Honorary Chief of the Good Will Fire Department #1 in Belvedere, NJ. He was also a member of the NJ State Exempt Firemen Association. He was a Lifetime Member of the VFW.
He loved working in his Shed. He enjoyed country music. He loved traveling with his wife Pat. He enjoyed cruises. Alaska his favorite. Also Bus trips & Auto trips with his family.
In addition to his wife Pat, Dick is survived by his daughters, Joan Meyn, Cindy Korosec and her husband Jack and Wendy Titus; his sons, Jeff Titus and Randy Titus; Grandchildren John, Bobby, Kevin, Maria, Samantha, Richard III, Marissa and Jeff Jr.; Great Grandchildren Haley, Dylan, Morgan, Deanndra, Robert Jr, Micha, Autumn, Savannah, Patrisha, Joy, Keira, Karen, Lucy, Selena and Rilynne; Great Great Grandchildren Nicholas, Zailey, Kylie and Jaiden. In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by a son, Richard Titus Jr., a brother Stanley Barker and a son in-law Robert Meyn.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday March 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hazen Cemetery in Belvidere, NJ.
