Obituary of Joan E Harrison

Joan E. Harrison, 85, a lifelong resident of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2020. Joan was born on September 27, 1934, in Phillipsburg, NJ, to the late Frederick and Gertrude DeVries. Joan graduated from Washington High School class of 1952. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and watching her birds form her back yard. She loved her dog Daisy. She was a member of the Living Word Fellowship Church in Washington. Her husband of 61 years, Rodney Harrison Sr, passed away in 2016. Joan is survived by her sons, Rodney Harrison Jr. and his wife Susan, William Harrison and his wife Christine, Richard Harrison and his wife Sandy and Randy Harrison and his wife Joann. A daughter, Rebecca Cully; a brother, Richard DeVries; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Joan was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce DeVries. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan's honor to Living Word Fellowship Church and mail to: 6234 Sullivan Trail, Nazareth, PA. 18064 Due to public gathering restrictions, services will be announced at a later date.
