Obituary of Margaret Anna Howell
Margaret Anna Howell 98, formally of Washington passed away peacefully on August 8, 2013 at Warren Haven nursing Home.
Born: Margaret was born in Mountain View , NJ on May 22, 1915 to the late James and Ida Duryea
Personal: She lived most of her life in Washington . Margaret graduated from Montclair High School class of 1932; she attended the Paterson Business College and the Ritanell School of Beauty before moving to Washington . Margaret and her late husband Atchley were married on September 34, 1939 and celebrated 42 years of marriage together before his death in 1981. In addition to being a homemaker, she was an expert seamstress and found pleasure in sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed antiquing but above all she was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family. Margaret and her family would like to thank the staff of Warren Haven Nursing Home for the compassion and kindness they expressed during her stay at the nursing home.
Memberships: Margaret was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington . She was a past member of the Washington Township Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Washington Township PTA.
Survivors: she is survived by her loving daughter Brenda Klimas and her husband Edward; three sons Arnold Howell and his wife Mary Jane, Philip Howell and his wife Teresa and Lloyd Howell; a brother Frank Duryea and a sister Ida Kedrick; nine grand children and 13 great grandchildren She is predeceased by her husband Atchley, a sister Emma Gardner Demarest and brothers James, Harold, Roy and George Duryea
Services: Friends and family may call from 9:30 - 11:00 AM with funeral services starting at 11;00 AM on Tuesday August 13, 2013 at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington NJ. Burial will follow at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton.
