Obituary of Rodney Carmine Manfra
Rodney Carmine Manfra, 76, formally of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on March 3, 2020 at Lopatcong Care Center in Phillipsburg, NJ
Rodney was born on July 11, 1943 in Califon, NJ to the late Wrenzel "Buck" and Elizabeth Pearl Manfra
Rodney left high school to proudly serve his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was received the Rifle Marksmen commendation. Upon returning from his tour of duty he married the love of his life Carolyn Riddle on June 16, 1973. Rodney was a self-employed contractor and painter. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals. He was an avid fisherman. He was a black belt in karate and on the speed team for roller skating. He also enjoyed cars and loved to watch them race at Great Meadows. Above all he loved he wife and family. He will be sadly missed.
Rodney is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years Carolyn Manfra; his loving sister, Marsha Krosposky; his caring niece, Stacy Todd and his great-nephew, Justin Phillips. In addition to his parents Wrenzel and Elizabeth Manfra he is preceded in death by his sister Trudy Todd.
A graveside service with Military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, 78 Valley Road, Hampton, NJ
